Te Anau — Milford — Queenstown
Take the spectacular Milford Road checking out the Chasm and Mirror Lake en route. Red Boat Cruise to the Tasman Sea with optional free Underwater Observatory. On to Queenstown via Te Anau and the edge of Lake Wakatipu.

Queenstown — Dunedin
Clyde Dam, orchard and gold country. Take the ‘Pig Root’ through the Maniototo (farm visit in summer) to Dunedin. Arrive early afternoon to scramble up Baldwin Street – the world’s steepest. Optional Otago Peninsula ‘Argo’ Adventure to see the Yellow-eyed penguins, seals and other wildlife. Then sup Speights with the Scarfies.

Catlins — Te Anau
From Invercargill, Gemstone beaches, suspension bridges and real mountains to the sea stuff. Hit the beautiful southern glacial lakes of Manapouri and Te Anau. If you have the time in Te Anau then walk the many tracks and cruise the lake to the glow-worm caves.

Dunedin — Catlins
Big day featuring one of New Zealand’s best kept secrets – the Catlins. Stops at Nugget Point sea-lion spotting, waterfall wanders and beach walks, afternoon at Curio Bay and (fossil forest) overnight in Invercargill. Hop off if you are going to ‘The Island’.
