Highlanders lose their way against the Chiefs.

A highly entertaining match saw a disappointing result for the Highlanders at Carisbrook with a 31-36 loss to the Chiefs at Carisbrook.

The 'House of Pain' title did not hold true with a late try to tattooed Samoan winger Lome Fa'atau denying the home supporters a much needed win. This did elevate the Chiefs up the Super 12 table putting them in semi-final contention and it was some consolation that the Highlanders got two bonus points for scoring four tries and losing by seven or less.

In the Bottom Bus competitions the following picked up prizes :
Closest to the score Justin Allen (he had 28-35)
First try scorer Brian (Seilala Mapasua although there was a penalty try awarded to the Chiefs but noone had that!)
Best face paint Nienke and Robert

Most signatures Karern Frawley
This was a new category for the person who got the most signatures on their Bottom Bus t-shirts off players after the match. Well done Karen!

A great night was had by all (forgetting the score line) and partied on well in to the evening at the Gardies, Bowler, Capt Cook and other Dunedin student haunts.

See you at the Hurricanes game on April 24th!

And don't forget the New Zealand Backpackers Festival - June 9 to 12, 2004 featuring the England v All Blacks Rugby International in Dunedin.
