Match Report

All Blacks 19, South Africa 11

What a weekend.

A great victory by the New Zealand All Blacks to secure the Tri-Nations Trophy, even if not the most spectacular of matches. Smokin' Joe 'Rocket man' Rokocoko continued his amazing try-scoring run with an opening try early in the game which set up the All Blacks win.

Ralph's bottom
Richard Bands, the bulking Springbok prop, not only provided the moment of the match with his 48m burst to the try line, but also will go down as a legendary try. You just don't see the fatties running that far for tries. Onya Richard. Mind you I wouldn't be saying that if the ABs lost.

The unofficial curtain raiser to the Carisbrook match - the Nude Touch Rugby International was held at the 'Beach of Pain', St Kilda. A closely fought match between the Bottom Bus Barbarians and the Kiwi Experience selection saw the naked Baa Baas win 7-0 much to the delight of the hundreds of spectators and the referee as well!

The media flocked to the game with TV1, Sky TV, TV3, local papers and even someone from L'equipe - a French paper covering it.
