There are a few things that your average kiwi treasures - Rugby is one of them, a day at the country races is another and some good seafood is another.

Join us on our southern pilgrimage with a winning trifecta this Easter Saturday and a one day trip from Queenstown to Invercargill!

Riverton Races - never been before? Come to this historic country race meeting at the southernmost race course in the world. Dates back to 1861 and is the third largest meet in the South Island. Join in the excitement of 4 races with the main one on the card. High fashion on display here involves shining up your Gumboots and pulling out your best Swanni!

Barbeque - we are putting on a BBQ for the crew and first beer or wine is on us! Main race is 2.30pm and then we head further south...

Oysters - watch them being opened and try out this southern delicacy. Yes the oyster season has just opened and the world famous Bluff Oysters are being harvested as we speak.

Bluff - photo opportunity! Visit THE signpost and then the famous Paua House home to dear old Fred and Myrtle (bless their souls) for so many years

Rrrrrrugby - the Highlanders are pushing hard for the semi finals and the Chiefs are desperate to climb the ladder. This promises to be classic Super 12 game in Invercargill.

Competitions :- the usual plus one for the person that returns to Queenstown with THE styling pair of Gumboots. Prizes of AJ Hackett Jumps, Speights gear and World Vouchers.

Then it is back to Queenstown arriving around midnight with the first beer on Bottom Bus if the Highlanders win.

If you are on Bottom Bus then you can join in on this trip from Riverton or the Catlins.

from the Catlins
$55 for the tickets to the rugby, t-shirt, face-paint and transfers to Riverton.

from Riverton
$95 for the Kiwi Day out - you must overnight in Riverton on the Friday night and catch up on Saturday.

Note you will not get to Riverton until about 10.30pm but beds are booked.
